B i o g r a p h y

Soprano Lawren Hill hails from Western Maryland and is a recent graduate of the Manhattan School of Music.  Her most recent performances include the an appearance as the soprano soloist in Poulenc's Gloria with the Masterworks Chorale of Massachusetts & as a member of the ensemble in Odyssey Opera's production of Sir John in Love.  In her time at MSM, she was seen on the main stage in MSM’s production of Corigliano’s Ghosts of Versailles, various scenes, and with the Discover! Opera ensemble.  While in Boston, Lawren joined the roster of  Boston Opera Collaborative where she wrote for their blog and assisted with public relations.  Miss Hill's previous credits include Sophie*, Les Lettres de Werther (Boston Opera Collaborative),  Josephine, HMS Pinafore (Ohio Light Opera) Gretel, Hansel and Gretel (Shepherd University), Sarah Brown, Guys and Dolls (SU) and Cinderella, Into the Woods (SU) and the soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah at Shepherd University.  She has also been a soloist with the Boston Percussion Group, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra and performed with the enCanta Collective in New York City.  Scene work includes Postcard from Morocco (Lady with the Cake Box), Le Nozze di Figaro(Susanna) and Carmen (Frasquita).  Miss Hill was also featured as a soloist and music director in the Rural Artists Project, a 3 day music and educational festival in Bristol Bay, Alaska.
